Has Ben Grieve retired? I can't find him anywhere in professional baseball. I saw he was on the White Sox AAA team, but he's not on the roster there or anywhere else.
Also what is the status of Todd Hollandsworth? He has a MLB.com player page with the Reds but then his "current status" area is left blank.

Hollandsworth is currently a UFA.
Grieve spent last season with the White Sox minor league team but isn't there this season, in fact, his name does not appear in the MILB (MinorLB) search engine... but he never announced retirement...
Maybe he is a UFA as well...

remember how highly touted Grieve was? his swing was the next best behind Griffey's and BOY did he fall of the face of the planet

It's crazy how guys just dissapear. Apparently people don't have the luxury of announcing their retirement as often as they'd like. Is Scott Erickson another UFA?
