I know people are disappointed, but one encouraging fact is that the Cubs have thus far scored 74 runs and given up 60 runs. I'm an optimist, so I take that to mean that the Cubs have just been unlucky to have a record of 7 and 10, and that over the course of 162 games, luck generally evens out. (Of course, the pessimist would say that that just shows that the Cubs are far from clutch and don't score when it counts.)
