Unfortunately I have not found a very good all inclusive DVD set. What specifically are you trying to teach?

I agree. I have not yet seen one set that covers everything well. I do have several favorites in each area.

I found Andy Lopez's book Coaching Baseball Sucessfully helpful when I was starting. You may want to give that a shot. Andy is a D1 College coach from Florida.

No doubt in my mind
The New England Catching Camp
A Coaches Guide to Training Catchers by Coach Dave Weaver.
The biggest improvement in our pitching this year has been our catchers.
If you do not understand the previous sentence then you definately will benefit from the DVD

Pop Quiz - Do you know the D2 school he coached at in Southern California before Florida in the late 80's?

hitting-Epstein would be the best so far. I have seen parts of Steve Englishbey. I have to watch it all to make a final call on that one. I couldnt get thru it so far. To much back ground noise, etc. I also like Mankin.

These are a few of the tapes/DVD's/books I use on a regular basis:
Baserunning - U. of Miami baserunning series (Baserunning, stealing)
Catching - Tom Griffin (Carson Newman) and Turtle Thomas (Arizona St.)
Pitching/Throwing - Tom House (NPA), Alan Jaeger (Long Toss), and Jerry Weinstein
Infield Play - Clemson and Georgia Tech series
Outfield Play - Tom Riginos (Clemson)
Hitting - Mike Epstein, John Mallee (Florida Marlins), and John Cohen (Kentucky)
Conditioning - We use BFS and also speed programs from the U. of Iowa.
All the ABCA books and Ron Polk's baseball playbook are great as well.
I also recommend attending as many clinics, etc., that you can. The ABCA Convention help each January is a great clinic for information and just talking with other coaches.

I have seen Turtle in action and attended several of his clinics - He's the master of hitting drills. I would still recommend Catching Coach over Turtle when it comes to catching.

I like Turtle as well. Good to hear speak at clinics.
I am not as big on his hitting tapes. I really like John Cohen for hitting drills, especially off the tee.
As far as catching, I like some things that Turtle does and disagree with others. But, as far as a complete DVD on catching, I love Tom Griffin's DVD. Saw him speak at ABCA this year and got his DVD a few weeks later from his website. A lot of great drills on every facet of catching.
Never seen Catching Coach's, but I hear it is pretty good.

I have a few tapes and DVD's that I am looking to sell. If anyone is interested, shoot me a PM.
Can anyone give a review on John Cohen's DVD "40 Hitting Drills to Help You Find Your Best Swing"? He coaches U of Kentucky and was coach of the year last year. What type of drills does he endorse? Would he be considered more rotational, linear, or combination?
