I bought two books of the "Forever" stamps on Friday. Last night I wrote to 18 minor league players. On all of the SASE's I used the "Forever" stamp, BUT on my #10 envelope to the player I used a 39 cent stamp (I have 3 books of the 39 cent stamps that I need to use up before the official price change takes into effect next month.
Is anyone else doing the same thing? Because some minor leaguers are known for taking months to reply back.

I haven't gotten any of the "forever" stamps yet, so I've been using the 39 cent stamps still, but on the SASEs I'm including a 2 cent stamp to cover the increase in case they don't reply until after the rate increase.

With all this rain, I sat down and tracked down where the top prospects are playing using minorleaguebaseball.com.
Here's what the forever stamps look like.

AWESOME list of minor league bubs to send out to.
I have already gotten back from:
Ryan Braun, Evan Longoria, & Hunter Pence.
Rumor has... and this is just a rumor... Alex Gordon has let all of the notoriety get to his head, and won't sign ttm. I already have Lincecum written out and he will be in the mail tomorrow.

When I bought my 2 books the grand total was $16.40 (or $8.20 each).
In laymens terms they are at the 41 cent rate.

That's what I've been doing, as well...although I just ran out of 2 cent stamps. When I get to the post office, I'll probably buy the "forever stamps". That won't be today, though, with the deadlne for mailing out tax stuff being today, I'm avoiding the post office!

Dang! I just ordered some .39 cent ones and .24 cent postcard stamps so I can get TTM up here in Canada. What should I do now? Order some .02 cent ones or .04 cent ones or what? Help!

I just can't believe I'm so confused, I didn't even know what the cost of stamps will be. I guess I have to get postcard stamps as well. So they are only increasing by .02 cents as well then?

I am still using 39 cent stamps but I include a 3 cent stamp on the envelope. It's seemed to work. I just hate it that all the older stuff is pretty much written off in a few weeks.

Yeah, I have heard the good signers will sometime throw the extra postage on envelopes, but I hate to lose mine as well. I got one back yesterday that had been out for a long time... real happy to have it since it only had 39 cents on it.

I've been sending my SASE's with extra 2-cent stamps for at least two weeks now, so I won't be screwed as I would be, but I do hate to think I may miss out on several attempts because of the postage hikes.
