It's the Little Things..

At least we have now gone three games in a row where the starting pitching wasn't an embarrassment. Did anyone watch Friday's game? I'm curious if Patterson's velocity has improved over his first two starts.

These past three games I hope are huge confidence boosters for our staff. Bergmann, Patterson and Hill tossing 18.1 innings and only allowing 4 runs (1.96 ERA, hooray!).


We just need to get this lineup in a consistent setting. We have good hitters, they just never seem to be put in the right situation, as Brian Schneider seems to be the guy at bat everytime there are 2 outs and RISP instead of our big bats. Also, Zimmerman needs to make an adjustment because something isn't working as his line is at a lowly .220/.260/.290

Schneider needs more days off, especially until he can get his swing back. If they have to keep Flores up all year, they might as well start him 1-2 days a week; it's not like he's going to keep them from making the playoffs.

Yeah and like the two starts we gave Flores, we pinch-hit for him half way through and brough Schneider back out.
