Barry Bonds is back in Pittsburgh playing his old team tonight. He just got a single. Steroids baggage aside, I think it would be interesting to go to a Giants-Pirates game there in PNC Park. I wonder how the fans in Pittsburgh treat ol' Barry these days when he comes to town?

And he's already hit 2 home runs tonight - go Barry!

i wouldnt cheer for him, how he treated fans, why would anyone. I hope he doesn't break Aarons reccord, the pitcher should hit him in the head an injure him.

Attaway to wish bodily harm to another person because you don't want him to hit home runs. :ughh

That's exactly the way I feel about an NFL Football Player also. I won't say who, but it should be pretty obvious.

Not to me. I can't think of a NFL and MLB player at the time.

I would strongly advise you not to encourage bodily harm upon any person involved with MLB in any way. I've got things about Barry which I disagree with, but it's not in my opinion, worthy to see that person being physically hurt while playing a game.
If you hope that he goes into a slump, I can relate to this. However, hoping that he gets hurt isn't something I'd consider very classy.

I would simply ask you also to refrain from wishing harm upon any player, including from other sports.
Thx. :)

Mostly boos. There were some cheers tonight, but that was mostly the smattering of Giants fans in the ballpark tonight. His poor attitude, and the ever-present cloud of steroid suspicion will always haunt him. He was a great player in Pittsburgh, but many here felt he "took the money and ran", and considering there hasn't been a winning season here since he left, there's always a tinge of bitterness toward Barry every time he comes back to town. If he had stayed here, he'd probably be as revered as Clemente or Stargell, and most fans here would probably have "looked the other way" in regard to his attitude and steroid suspicion, just like it appears many in San Fran have now.

I cant stand Bonds but he's still someones father, husband, son. Only a fool would wish injury like that one anyone.
Or a kid who just doesnt know any better.

Sounds like you hit the nail in the head whitesoxnut. back in my work-a-day world life, driving tour buses and limo's in s.f., there were three subjects you weren't allowed to talk about when lecturing a tour: politics, religion, and (no not sex, you could say or do anything with that subject) sports. some people are so adamant about their home team and players they let their common sense (obviously some don't have any of that either) and good judgement become clouded over by their obsession with a game. no matter what, if bonds stays as healthy as he is now, and hits the ball as he did in steel-town last night, hammerin-hank is going to get left in a cloud of dust at home plate a lot sooner than anyone thought. bye-bye-baby

It is a fact that Barry Bonds is currently playing his 15th season with the San Francisco Giants since leaving the Pittsburgh Pirates.
