summer baseball camp

I'm expecting to go to a baseball summer camp. A few years ago i went to Ramapo College Baseball Camp for a week in NJ. I don't know if they really helped much but i did hit pretty well in that season. I just wanted some info about summer baseball camps that actually teach something so i dont waste my parents money. if anyone knows any camps in the NJ area please post some sites i can browse thorugh.

How can you identify it though? They all say its for improving but im sure some are bs just so they can earn money

Well, I see that you live in New Jersey. If you lived over on the West Coast, you could come to T.B.I baseball camps.

I worked there as a councelor this summer and its very fun for the kids. We have 4 camps. Young kids, two intermediates, and then an older one for kids 12-18.

We've had kids from San Diego come up to our little town in Central Washington.

Its founded by our former varsity baseball coach, Dave Johnson, who has won 9 State Championships for Ephrata High School.

But on the East Coast, Id probably look for something that isn't a college. College baseball isnt very big so I wouldnt wanna trust them exactly. Go Somewhere that real coaches help you in what they are designed to teach in. So I dont know where that is but maybe you shuold look for something.

havent found anything yet. i found a phillies camp taught by coaches and players but i think its a camp for beginners.NOt sure though plus its for only 4days.

A few high schools in the Baltimore area run camps, if you can find someplace to stay or are willing to drive down every day.

High school camps are usually worse than the college camps. The camper stands a very good chance of receiving the expert advice and counseling of a .250 high school hitter. The best camps are the one's that aren't come one, come all. They're the ones where you need a coach's recommendation to attend.

One problem. My coach is an idiot. seriously....Anyone have any recomendations?

Try the Clemson baseball camp in SC, its widely known as the top baseball camp by far in this area.

Try the Clemson baseball camp in SC, its widely known as the top baseball camp by far in this area.

The Clemson camp is a basics/fundamentals oriented camp. The one good advanced camp they run is over a weekend in December.

Anyone know of any camps in western new york? I know there is one given by University of Buffalo, I am a little iffy about that one, but any other information would be greatly appreciated.

in central jersey there's a place called Zoned. i dont know if summer camp registrations are up or anything. most of the counslers there were semi-pro ball players or played a few seasons in the majors. i highly recommend any of their camps.
