I have a book called the Act of Pitching, but there explanation is kinda hard to understand without actually seeing pictures of what the arm does during the throw. From the sounds of it the hand kinda ends in a karate chop and if I read this right, spin like a football?
Like I said, I had trouble understanding what the pitch was like with just text and is wondering if anyone is knowledgable about it or has a good link for it.

"Anyone have slider knowledge?"
Yes. Don't throw one until you're physically mature. It can be tough on the arm.

my coach who was a finesse pitcher and played some major league ball has me only throw a slider for a breaking pitch because my release point is too low for an effective cuveball. when i try to throw a curveball, it turns into a slurve.
with the slider, i throw it with a curveball grip, you throw it just like a fastball but when its out infront of you, you turn your hand clockwise. if youre turning at the right point, youre not throwing with you elbow and youre throwing with your shoulder...this is good. it takes a while to learn to throw with good break but just stick with it because its nastier than the curve

When you do the turning of your hand clockwise, it places stress up your forearm.

holding the ball of center and the technique of throwing makes it work..there is no wrist torque..
