MILLER PARK!!!!...why they chose there I do not know (why not LAA and the next LAA/CLE series will be at the Jake?)

What's your thoughts on this.

Well, if it is necessary, they should do it even if it is somewhat weird...

Meh, it's not that weird. Of the two dome stadiums in the midwest, the Brewers are the only one that aren't playing at home this week. Plus, you would want to retain that "home" feeling for the indians, as they're probably more Indians fans in the Midwest than Angels.

I'm surprised they just didn't move down to Great American Ball Park. It's still cold, but there's no snow. Also it's closer than Miller Park.
Closest Ballparks to Jacobs Field
Comerica Park (91 MI) Tigers in Baltimore
PNC Park (114 MI) Pirates at home
Rogers Centre (189 MI) Blue Jays at home
Great American Ball Park (223 MI) Reds in Phoenix
Oriole Park at Camden Yards (308 MI) Orioles at home
RFK Stadium (308 MI) Nationals in Atlanta
U.S. Cellular Field (308 MI) White Sox in Oakland
Wrigley Field (310 MI) Cubs at home
Miller Park (339 MI) Brewers in Miami

Would all of those other teams stay away through Thursday?
They didn't swap the series because the Angels are expected 40,000+ at each game.

I would say if they move away, they might just as well go to a ballpark with a roof.

I would guess you walk up to the park on game day, hand over $10, and sit right behind home plate.

The reason why it's not being played in LA of Anaheim is because the Angels have to be at Fenway on Friday afternoon (night time for all you East Coasters).

Well when people call him the best player in baseball yes I'd say he's overrated, but he is a very good player.

I certainly wouldn't say he's the best, at all. I'd say he has the potential and that he's on the right track. But he's a loooooong way from it.
But check back in September. ;)

Even if...there's a lot of people he'll need to jump over to do it, but he should have an awesome season. He was so underrated for a while, now people are just realizing who he is, and now he's overrated.

It's the Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim against the Cleveland Indians of Milwaukee.
The last game between two AL clubs in Milwaukee was Sept. 28, 1997, when Baltimore beat the Brewers. Milwaukee moved to the National League the following season.
This is only the second time in the expansion era (since 1961) that weather has forced Major League games to move to a new location, according to Elias Sports Bureau. The first was on Sept. 13-14, 2004, when an impending hurricane off the cost of Florida caused the Marlins and Expos to move their series from Miami to Chicago's U.S. Cellular Field.
There is some precedent in Milwaukee for regular games not involving the home team. In 1968 and 1969, after the Braves had left for Atlanta and before the Brewers arrived, the Chicago White Sox played one scheduled series against each American League team at County Stadium. A fictional Indians team also called Milwaukee home in 1989, when scenes were shot for the film "Major League."

I also heard that the Players Association wouldn't allow them to travel from Anaheim to Boston the next day. I guess if it were a day game in Boston, then a night game in Anaheim, it wouldn't have been so bad.
Is the snow *REALLY* that bad down there? I wonder if it would be any better in Los Angeles. Then again, the Halos don't play in LA. ;)

Why it's the first time since... September 28th, 1997. (http://www.retrosheet.org/boxesetc/1997/B09280MIL1997.htm)

Just like in "Major League"...unfortunately County Stadium is no longer standing as it would have been a little more apropriate.

Okay, wait a minute.
Cleveland gets snowed out of what, two games? So they're playing the make-ups not in Arizona, or in Seattle, or in Florida. But in Milwaukee?
Anyone else smelling Selig in this?

I know what you mean. A big part of me wished the brewers still played in the AL. :sigh: I've gotten used to it and it doesn't bother me as much but when they first switched leagues I didn't like the move.

It snowed in Malibu back in December, but that's the extent of the snow south of the Tehachapis.

Bleh, I prefer the NL style of play much more to the AL. The only thing I like about the AL better is the face your Pitcher can pitch as long as he wants, independent of being an offensive liability.
I watched FSN's "Beyond the Glory" about the DH, and there were some compelling arguements both ways. But honestly, when it comes down to it, I'm glad that one league has it, and the other league does not.

There are a number of reasons it's being played in Milwaukee that have nothing to do with Selig.
1.Angels play in Boston on Friday. To be fair to them, the games should be played in the MW to keep travel times equal to what they would habe been before. That takes Los Angeles and Arizona out of the Equation.
2.Florida is hosting the Brewers right now, so it would be illogical to play there. TB is away, but they're farther away from Cleveland than Milwaukee is.
3.Toronto is at home this week, which means the closest stadium with a roof to Cleveland that isn't occupied is in Milwaukee.

I watched that too, the only thing that stopped the DH from coming to the NL was an owner on a fishing trip.

It was a really good game that I went to Wed. night. I left Oshkosh at about 2 PM and got to Miller Park at about 5 PM. It's normally an hour and 15 minute drive, but the snow storm caused a number of accidents on US 41, and about a 10 mile stretch of the highway was actually shut down, so we were stalled in a jam for about 45 minutes, and because of that we caught rush hour traffic in Milwaukee and were stuck on IS 894 for about 25 minutes longer than normal.
There was like 16.7K people there, and if just going off the section I was in, the fans were:
50% Cleveland
25% Brewers
10% Angels
10% Cubs
5% White Sox
