joeR,

My name is Chance Cain. I am an instructor in the Cherokee County area. If interested, contact me at coachcain16@yahoo.com
my website is [URL="http://www.ccs-hitn-and-pitchn.com"]http://www.ccs-hitn-and-pitchn.com
My location is in Canton, GA. I have a indoor hitting and pitching facility and I also have clearance to a local field if needed. Call for directions.

I recommend Chance. Seems like I ran into him everywhere for awhile there. Guy has done his homework.

Joe,

If your son is serious about baseball. It doesn't get any better than this in the Atlanta area.

I would avoid companies that also support diaper ball leagues. They are typically in it to generate cash and usually work hard at convincing parents that if you don't take a lot of lessons at a very young age your child will never play competative ball.

The greatest combination for learning how to hit is a well motivated dad/mom and son/daughter who learn together. Buy a recommended DVD and learn together. Lessons are good as long as both are learning and they are able to work on the skills at home.

That being said I woul first recommend you buy Steve Englishbey's DVD.

I have also heard very good things about Chance, although I do not know him.

We worked briefly with Chance and he is a fine instructor I would recommend, but was a little bit out of the way for us. I believe Peavy is in the Gwinnett area and understand he would be a good choice.

Thanks for the suggestions. I plan on going to his lessons so I can run the drills with him between weeks.

I contacted Chance, but his facility is a big drive especially in the traffic around here. He is a nice guy and offered to look into other locations that may be more convenient. If I lived closer, I would go there.

Here is Coach Peavy's web site (http://www.peavynet.com/) for anyone that reads this later. I will check into windward as well. Funny on google maps they are right down the road from each other.

Coach Peavy also offers lessons at the YMCA in East Cobb.
