You should do fine as long as long as the movement is sharp and late and no loopy and obvious.
And if they're that much slower then your changeup you can use them as an effective off speed pitch and get alot of groundballs.

You'll throw batting practice. 64mph is 7th grade middle school speed. Hitters can sit on your junk because you won't be able to put a fastball by them. I've never seen a high school pitcher without at least an 80mph fastball.

Do you have any video of you pitching?
I'm sure I (as well as some others) could offer some good advice to get it (velocity) up there

There are plenty of high school pitchers who throw mid-70's with excellent command/control of the fastball that do well.

Maybe he meant varsity. Where I live, if your on varsity, and you arent hitting at least 80ish with 3 good pitches you are gonna get killed out there.

Last year we had a kid who threw about 75 with a fastball, and in the 65 range with his change up and curve. His control was so good though, that the speed of his pitches weren't as important because he could place the ball and make it practically unhittable. He threw 3 one hitters that year, including one in the state tournament against the number 2 seed.

Maybe at low classifications in rural schools. I have never seen a high school pitcher with a fastball under 80mph. We see 14U USSSA travel pitchers throwing 80.

Isn't varsity what it's all about? Everything else is prep for varsity. But there isn't anyone on JV at our high school throwing less than 80. 80 is not fast by the JV level in high school.
