Not sure if this is right place to discuss this -

My son's bat broke last night during BP and we are looking for a new one. Looking at the TPX Dynasty. He had Dimarini Vexxum that broke. There are so many new ones out, I wondering if anyone might have some recommendations.

It is for a 9 y/o using either a 29" or 30" 2 1/4 barrel.

If you're gonna spend that kind of dough I'd look at the Anderson Techzilla, but I don't think you can go wrong with the TPX either.

I'm not much for composites or two piece bats personally. JMO

My son is 9 and using a 30/20 Combat. It is a composite and sounds almost like a wood bat. The neat thing about it is that it is so balanced that it swings like a lighter bat. The hitting area of the barrel is also longer allowing him to get hit balls on the barrel that he gets jammed on. I don't think they have them in stores, you have to find a local sales rep.

I use a TPX Dynasty and really like it if that helps.

At nine my son used a TPX Laser. It cost $60. He used a bigger TPX Laser at ten. Through 14U, with discounts the most we've spent on a bat is $120. This year he's using a "new" 2005 Liquid Metal we purchased for $75. He liked the one we bought last year so much he found another.

I have a rule with my kids. Any amount for a bat over $100 they pay until high school. Then they can have the best equipment they want. I call this "earning it." The same goes for gloves.

my son us a 2003 tpx reponse and a 2006 liquid metal plasma. both are good bats but over all the plasma is by far a better bat.

Can't say enough about the Combat bats. Highly recommend as my son is on his second now. He has had the stealths, liquid metals and other high end bats and the Combat is by far the best.

I know you had a bad experience with the demarini but the F2 is a great bat with great pop..a lil different than the vexum? isnt the vexum a BIG BARREL?

we have a tpx catalyst 2 1/4 that seems to have some pop. It hasnt been used much since we can use big barrels in tourneys though. A kid had a F2 2 years ago and i liked it.
Last year my son used a zcore titanium. Had good pop but you had to swing it a bit to get used to it. Other kids would try it out and couldnt hit. Same with my son the first time or two. THan he got used to where the sweet spot was and hit really good with it. It was only 35 bucks iirc.
Now he is using a 250 TPX catalyst. Went from gremlin to hummer this year on the field lol
