for you scout.com subscribers, I ran across this:

Drew Macias

Macias got an early start on things working with Dr. Yaeger down in New Orleans – a former Padres coach who fine-tuned his hitting. He is following the path of the ball with his bat rather than pulling off as he was prone to do at the end of last year. He has also regained the step he lost in the outfield and his defense is again near the top of the charts within the system.

“It was a slider that didn’t slide,” Macias said of his homer. “The hard work during the off-season and going to the hitters’ camp in New Orleans has put me ahead. I am seeing the ball well.”

Macias’ approach has changed and he has a loose, easy swing, not trying to do too much with the ball and simply getting the bat head out and letting his natural swing do the rest.

It prompted Tony Muser, the Padres Rookie League manager, to say aloud, “Who is his hitting coach? He hit a bomb his first at bat and has been right on the ball.”

Is Macias on the big league club? If not where is he?
