Wheres our offense... and i know it's a new season but the pirates please come on.If i see one more strike out how do we strike out freaking 25 thousand times.Morgan ensberg has been useless striked out way to many times already looks like last season.Carlos you better start producing or it's another famous Houston blunder.Berkman we know you can produce it's just going to take time. And well Scott's a beast.Good thing we traded Tavera's he only had a 30 game hit streak and he actually made it on base so berkman could drive him in.Now who can we drive......maybe if biggo and everett or burke could get on base.
At least the Rockets made the playoffs.

Wow. Keep your cool, buddy. We're 3 games into the season. I know it's frustrating, but the offense isn't going to put up 6 runs every night. They're also not going to average 2.5 over the course of the season. Give people (other than Berkman) a chance before you throw in the towel.
Did you want to edit to spell Biggio with an "i" and take the ' out of "Tavera's" ?

A little too early, but the offense has always been a concern in Houston. It's nice to see some action in this forum though. It has been me and PopTop for about 5 months now. Hope you guys hang around.

Guess it is only still 3 games in but I just can't stand getting swepped by Pittsburgh A team that the Astro's dominated last year.It may be only 3 games but if we had won 3 more games last year the cardinals wouldn't be the world champions right now.

That was very surprising. Houston did own Pittsburg last year. Toughest part about it is that it was against the 1-2-3 spots in the rotation. It's kind of scary to look to Wandy to get the team out of the gutter.

You could go through the entire season and pick out games that we "should" have won, and say that if we had won those then we would have won the division.
Yeah, it sucks to get swept by a crappy team, but you're going to have slumps during the course of a 162 game season. Sometimes they just come at the beginning.

Got my tickets for Saturday's game after seeing the tough loss on the opener I'm hoping the offense can get the job done.I don't think we have to worry about Roy giving up to many runs :)

It's kind of scary to look to Wandy to get the team out of the gutter. No lie. That's the worst part about losing the first three games. But watch. Baseball being what it is, Houston will win 8-6 with Wandy on the mound :cap:
This team is destined for third place at best this year. Sit back, relax, enjoy the good times and let it go.

If the Astro's can pick up the offense they can take the division there really is now dominant team in the central they all have there problems. The Astro's have been called a 3rd or 4th place team in the division for almost every year but have proven everyone wrong as usual. The projection from the HOUSTON chronicle is 93-69 and 1st place in the divions it made me laugh but kind of obvious since this was the Houston paper saying this.

Bottom of the 9th inning offense is still a no show and we have called some horrible plays.Squeeze play with 1st and 3rd no one out=dp.Good thing we got rid of Willy Taveras and now have chris burke >_< maybe if he knew how to swing the back and not sit there and strike out.30 game hit streak>Jason Jennings .See you in New York Roger
Edit:Hirsch goes 6 1/3 gives up 1 run.

Willy Taveras? You mean he of the 72 OPS+ last year? Burke was a much better hitter, even if he was below average. And Burke has been miles better this year. The idea that Taveras has an ability to get on base is crap; he's subpar in that area, and always has been. Burke is an upgrade over Taveras offensively, even when steals are factored in.

The comics are the closet thing you'll find to hard-hitting and credible journalism in that fish wrap.

I get frustrated too with our lack of offense, but it really isn't anything new. One thing that gets me every time though is the inability to get bunts down. Twice now Burke has failed to get bunts down and in the #2 hole. And pitchers...come on what else is there for you to hope for if it isn't to be able to get up to the plate in a sac bunt situation.
I think players should be fined $1000 for every failed bunt attempt! It's ridiculous!!!!!!!!!!!

Can't stand when it's 2 outs man on second and they try to bunt it and they turn it into a double play ._.

how can you turn a double play with 2 outs?
They scored 9 runs tonight, thanks mostly to EL Caballo. Is that enough offense?
