COLORADO ROCKIES-Agreed to terms with Dan O’Dowd, executive vice president/general manager, and Clint Hurdle, manager, on two-year contract extensions through the 2009 season.

Only word I can think of is shocking. This was suppose to be the bubble year for Hurdle and O'Dowd, either .500 or better or they was down the road. Now good ol Charlie and Dick Monfort reward the two with contracts through the 2009 season.
