I have a question about MLBTV I was hoping someone could answer.
I go to Northern Illinois University, which is about an hour from Chicago. Unfortunately I dont get Comcastsportsnet, which is the channel most White Sox games are on. I get the Fox, ESPN(sunday night), and WGN games, but I still miss a lot. I will go to the bar for some, but it's tough to find people to go with during the week. What if I were to have a relative who lives in Arizona use their address and credit card(and I were to just pay them). Could I watch the Sox games on MLBTV up here, or will they still be blacked out?

Instead of spending money on bars, or other methods, get DirecTV, and order the MLB Extra Innings package. I live in Southern california, and that's what I do to get the Cubs games.

I don't know the answer to your question. But I do know I'm considering purchasing MLB.TV myself. yup yup. In time for today's Giants game? Oh yes I only have a few hours.
ER... Sorry about the non answer.
Glad to meet you sir!

The White Sox and Cubs games will be blocked out on Extra innings, plus I live in a dorm.

If you get MLB TV just tell them you live in Boston or something

According to the MLB website, White Sox games will be blacked out for the zip code 60115, which is, I believe, that of NIU. So it looks like you'll get a blackout in that location. You can find which locations will be blacked out here:

Scroll to the bottom and select your team.

I am pissed off about their weekend policy. All, repeat, All games on Saturday before 6 pm are blacked out and all games after 6 on Sunday are blacked out.
Here I sit, listening to the Tigers. Sheffield just hit his first homer in a Tiger uniform and I listened to it...oh well.
I will get to watch the game tomorrow after 6 a.m., though

Wow, it's a good thing I know that now I won't get it...I was considering doing something for when I travel...but it looks like I'll have to find a good sports bar whenever I travel. I am very satisfied with EI myself, and the SuperFan.
