Stopped by my local dealer today at lunch, looking for 2007 UD packs. He doesn't have them in yet, but I did see a box of packs that were 3/$1. In addition to the 1999 Donruss and Topps packs that are always in those boxes, he had some 2003 Topps. I bought them all (15 packs...one series 1, the rest series 2) for a whopping $5.
I then got to open 15 packs, getting 150 cards, including 5 inserts and a Cole Hammels RC. Nothing I got was worth much (a $5 bv Barry Bonds insert was the most valuable), but it was just great getting to crack that many packs for such a small amount of money.
I mean, I also bought 3 packs of 2007 Fleer (and got some cool cards), but those THREE packs cost more than the other 15!
Anyway, I got some cards to thumb through this afternoon and sort by what I want to keep, what I'll use for TTM, and what I'll trade...a lot of simple pleasure from cheap packs!
Anyway, just wanted to share!
