Out of all the great players that didnt make it into sets from that time period due to contract disputes and militray service, which players in which sets do you wish existed the most. Lets see your list!
Do you think Topps or whoever does a good job when produce a new fantasy card in an archive set? I think there's something not quite right about them.
1935 Diamond Stars Lou Gehrig
1940 Play Ball Bob Feller
1950 Bowman Stan Musial
1951 Bowman Jackie Robinson
1952 & 1953 Topps Ted Williams

I'm baffled by that sentence. What do you mean by "fantasy card"?

I mean new versions of "cards that should have been"
Take for example the 1953 Topps archive set. The cards they added into that set, that were missing from the original release just dont look like any of the original cards. For example, the 1953 Topps Ted Williams image is of him form the 40's and its black and white.

I've seen a Roberto Clemente card in a Brooklyn uniform. Is that from Topps Archives?
I have to agree with ike, seeing those cards is like looking at the 1977 Topps Reggie Jackson with the apparently airbrushed Yankees cap.

That's right. I own that set. And I didn't realize it.

Yeah, and that one doesnt look quite right when compared to original 1955 Topps. What would have been far cooler would be to see a 1955 Bowman Roberto Clemente!

I've always found it fascinating that no regular Topps Stan Musial exist from 52-58. His first regular Topps card is the 1959.
I own each of his regular Topps cards from 59-63
