Were you at the Polo Grounds finale?

I attended: last NY Giant game (1957), last NY Giant-Brooklyn Dodger game (1957), and first SF Giant-NY Met game (1962) at the Polo Grounds. I have full scorecards and ticket stubs or all three games. I've sent you an e-mail regarding this.

I just spoke to another attendee yesterday and it sounds like quite a crazy finish to the Giants' long and glorious run in New York.

I was not there, but remember a moving photo which appeared the next day in the now defunct NY Journal American.

It showed the Giants climbing the stairs to the centerfield clubhouse for the last time, past fans holding a sign reading "Stay, Team, Stay".

I've seen that photo on line somewhere.

I went to the NY Public Library and found several old newspaper accounts with similar photos from the Daily News and Herald Tribune, and would love to find the Journal American account. There were also stories of John McGraw's widow weeping when manager Bill Rigney gave her a kiss for the newsreels. I'd love to see those!
