Here's the way so far this spring the rotation will likely shape up to be:
1) John Patterson
2) Shawn Hill
3) Matt Chico
4) Jason Simontacchi
5) Jerome Williams/ Mike O'Connor
Decent, most of these guys are having good springs, surprsingly.

that could be one of the worst starting 5 i've ever seen. i'll honestly be surprised if this team wins 55 games.

I think it's too early to diss on ther rotation, d33ps. I think last year's rotation can already be called a lot worse regardless of how this one performs for the simple fact that we put pitchers out there who we knew were proven bad major league pitchers and we knew would not get any better.
This year we are going with unproven guys who may turn out to be terrible or great. We are experimenting and that's the best thing we can do right now.

you have got to be kidding me, we have one legit pitcher and 4 aaa pitchers, at best. let's try not being optimistic for a second, and be truthful to ourselves. this team will finish last in the NL, that's a fact, and i've fully accepted that. good day.

I agree with King, it could go either way. I hope that the team has the sense to send down guys like Chico if they aren't performing instead of letting them lose confidence twisting in the wind in the majors. The other problem this year is replacing the runs produced by Soriano and Johnson which bailed the pitchers out of a lot of games they would have otherwise lost.
Yes, the Nats are probably going to be really bad, but I'd rather see bad baseball in DC this year than none at all.

i don't know, i think if Bergman pitches well in Simontacchi's absence that he may be able to lock his spot up and push Simontacchi out altogether.
