With Silva's recent start what our your thoughts on what the starting rotation for 2007 should be?

personally, I believe it should look something like this...

1. Santana
2. Ortiz
3. Bonser
4. Garza
5. Ponson

that 5 spot will go to Slowey/Perkins/Baker in a matter of weeks.

Silva needs to go, apparently he turned into a BP robot.

Its a good thing we have have pitching Jesus going every 5th day. Johan with 25 wins this season.

Believe Me, Ponson will be out of that rotation in his 1st start.

Look at this game against the BoSox:

OPP W L ERA H ER BB SO
@BOS 0 0 10.47 3.0 9 6 1 4

:D :D :D :D

I'm so glad the Yankees released him.

Your problem now even though he is a non-roster invitee~~~

Surely Garza is a better option than Ponson(unless he got hurt or had a crappy spring that I didn't hear about).

I agree, but he was sent to AAA.

Thanks for the update. :(

He was one of the guys I was really hoping to see that I missed last year. Hopefully he gets called swiftly.

I can't imagine that Ponson will be able to hang on to that SP spot for long.

I imagine Ponson being off the rotation by May, June the latest. Like I said in a previous post he has been a horrible pitcher for the past 2 years!!!!

Ponson... Fat... Sweaty... Drunk... 12.71 era in the first start of the season. Bye Bye :waving .

I'm going to cut Ponson a bit of slack (but not much)...he didn't pitch as poorly as it looked (yes, I know 8 runs IS horrible), but there was a pretty tight strikezone, the broken bat double to start the game, there were 4 "near" outs by Punto, Castillo and Bartlett x2, the ball Kubel should have had, etc. As I stated earlier, I don't see him around long, but I think he deserves another start or two.
