When are you guys gonna start sending to guys at their ML teams? You think it's alright to send now and let it get there earlier or should I wait until the season starts?

Considering teams break camp this week, now would be a good time.

The Post office is going to be busy this week. ;)
ALSO: Don't forget that the Minor Leagues regular season starts in about 2 weeks! :clapping

Here in Woodbridge, VA, is the home of the Carolina League's Potomac Nationals. They arrive in town here next weekend. A week from Thursday is the season opener at Lynchburg.

The Bowie Baysox's 1st game is April 5th. I screwed up and said 2 weeks. (in my above post) In roughly 2 weeks is their home opener. I apologize for any confusion.

2 weeks from tomorrow is Potomac's home opener against the Salem Avalanche. But Thursday April 5th is the season opener. The day before, they play an exhibition game at home against the George Mason University Patriots.

Thought I would post this in here:
Do you usually wait until a few days before a home series and then send to the player, or do you just send them any time?

I coordinate with their home team's schedule. The longer the homestand... the better. If a team in California is playing a 4-6 game homestand. I will mail out a request about 3 days prior to allow sufficient time to get there.

I don't know. I haven't sent Autograph requests to players at stadiums in 2-3 years and I didn't keep good records then.

Is there a better success rate doing this, rather than just sending randomly? I have about 50 stamped and ready to go. I was just waiting till tomorrow to put them in the mail.

In my opinion: yes.
if your sending to player X who plays for team B and team B is going on a 10 game road trip... you won't see that card(s) for at least 3 weeks at the minimum.

Ok, I see, I mean does it have a better chance getting signed period, if you send it to them while they are home, instead of having it sit in the locker room for a week if they are on the road?
