13) Billy Stafford: a swing man who can add depth to someone's staff
12) Bobby Richardson: good glove, no hit 2b
11) Gene Oliver: a good hitting 1/2 time catcher or 1B
10) Matty Alou: a sweet swing outfielder who hasn't quite put it together yet
9) Robin Roberts: experienced SP with 1 good year left in the tank
8) Camlio Pascaul: winningest pitcher in CKL history, but an injury risk
7) Juan Pizzaro: arm problems end his career as a SP, but usefull in the pen
6) Ken Boyer: rapidly fading former All Star, but might still help someone in 65
5) Whitey Ford: still a rotation pillar, but risky on a multi-year deal
4) Don Drysdale: defending CYA winner is a surprise addition to the auction
3) Willie Davis: great defensive CF, but bat is slumping
2) Elston Howard: still good behind the plate, but not so much at it
1) Mickey Mantle: still an impact bat - when healthy
--Also, if the Diablos fail to trade Bill White by 24 hours prior to the PFA (midnight EST on 22 March) he will be exposed to waivers. Any team willing to claim him would assume the remainder of his contract. If multiple teams make a claim the one with the worst 1964 record would be awarded the contract. If no team makes a claim prior to the commencement of the PFA then the Diablos would retain the contract.
--The secondary free agent auction will commence immediately after the last PFA is signed. All players active in 1965 and not under contract will be eligible for this auction. Bidding will be open on all these players until the market closed at 9PM EST on Tuesday, March 27. You may bid freely until the last hour of the auction when bids will be limited to one player per post. Once that market closes all teams will have until.midnight EST on 05, April to sign or release players to get to the required 40 man rosters.
