The way Snelling is playing, Manny might have to find a place to start him. The question is, who between Logan and Church gets bumped? Neither one is hitting his weight.

Church should start CF with Logan coming in for defense...

DEPTH CHART
LF Snelling, Church, Fick

CF Church, Logan, Kearns

RF Kearns, Church, Casto

1B Casto (IMO our best option and only position he has a future playing at), Fick, Belliard

2B Lopez, Belliard, Josh Wilson--the guy has had a good minor league career and deserves a serious shot as a utility man

3B Zimmerman, Belliard, Wilson

SS Guzman, Wilson, Lopez

C Schneider, Fick, Flores--the way Flores has been playing both offensively and defensively though I expect him to rise up to backup before the season is done with Fick making his money playing 1B and OF.

Unless Church clears his head and starts hitting, I think it's a tossup between him and Logan. Neither of them are exciting me right now, but I did see Nook do a nice job legging out an infield hit tonight. Too bad that's the only way he seems to be able to get on base.

Believe me, Nook was a paradox, while he was in Detroit..Lots of raw talent,
and if he ever decided to buckle down, and learn how to hit, he could be
a gamer..good speed, and some power, and a decent glove, but he could be
at times, lazy, stubborn, and a bit of an hotdog..

hopefully, he'll get his act together with the Nats..

The plot thickens. Nook went down with a groin strain yesterday. They'll have more word on how serious it is today, but it will probably throw Casto into the mix.

I say give Casto a chance at it, its not like the team is going anywhere this season anyways, might as well let the kids play develop now.
