I saw this online:
Mar 14 The Marlins had two scouts watching Benitez (knee) on Tuesday, the South Florida Sun-Sentinel reports.
Recommendation: It's believed that the Marlins would pay around $1 million of his salary for 2007 if the two sides could work out a deal, with the Giants picking up the rest. Scouts said that Benitez was throwing in the 92-94 mph range and that he looked better this spring than he did a year ago. In addition to providing some stability in Florida, Benitez would potentially offer some veteran leadership to a very young bullpen.
This makes it sound like he isn't long for the Gigantes. But I haven't heard much about who'd replace him. The team keeps trying to fill the void Robb Nen left, and they still haven't been able to do it.
