Hello everybody. Some of you already know me, but my name is Andrew and among many things, I am a huge fan of college baseball summer leagues. Through some friends that are involved with college baseball, I've been asked to try to help spread the word about collegiate baseball summer leagues.
So, I am slowely starting up a site/blog. It will basically help to keep you informed on what's going on. I will try to cover as many of the different leagues as I can. I/we are always looking for people to help us out with stories or other information.

Here is the link. (http://www.freewebs.com/summerleagueofbaseball/) The site is still progressing, but keep checking back.

Thanks.

Some recent news. I've updated a few links. I've also gotten the approval of the Texas Collegiate League to conduct interview of players for my site. So, once the season starts, check it out.

A league that you might want to check out is the Great Lakes League. The league is mostly located in Ohio. I played in the league for two years and found the competition to be very good. Not quite Cape or Northwoods but other players said that it closely compared to the Jayhawk league. Most of the players are from college teams in the Midwest, but occasionally there will be players from the Big East, ACC, and even some players from the PAC-10 make their way to Ohio. Just thought that I would throw that league into the mix for you.

Thanks a bunch. I've gotten several emails concerning the Great Lakes league. You are right about the talent. It's on par with the Jayhawk and several others.

I've added several more links and updates. If any of you have any information about other leagues or players that I could add to my site, just let me know.

I've heard of the Karl Young league. Not sure if it's still around. I will have to check it out.

Yes , I think it's still there ..they have a website , but I'm not sure how much it's been updated...I know Garner , Clemens , Ron Davis , and other major leaguers played in it , along with a ton of Minor Leaguers ....but there are many , many more options now , than back when I was there ...

If researched the league up a little bit and you were right, they had some great prospects come through there.

You are also right about the options for college players. There are at least 17 different college summer ball leagues going right now. It's a great time to be a college baseball player.

Look at the northwoods league based primarily in WI and MN. This is the most watched league in the nation even moreso than the Cape Cod league according to attendance figures.

You are right about the Northwoods league. They put out many quality prospects. They are by most peoples opinions, the 2nd best summer league behind the cape.

Just to let everyone know, I've moved my summer league site to a new blog. It will be much better in the long run.

This link to my site is on my signature.
