As most of you know, only one Cy Young Award was issued from 1956-1966. I thought it would be fun to host a poll to see who you think should have won from each league had the current format existed back then.

Don Newcombe won the first one in 1956 while with the Dodgers. Who should have been the A.L. winner?

My vote goes to Herb Score. If there's enough participation, I'll do a new year each day through 1966.

That's a mighty impressive list of candidates, but I've gotta go with Score also. I'd probably go with Billy Pierce as second choice, but there's nothing other than very high quality in the entire group!

Score had the record, the K's and the shutouts. His numbers stand out the most, so he likely would have won.

Went with Score by a slim margin over Wynn.
