Ameriquest Park in Texas (96?) - and of parks where he's never played for the home team, it's Skydome. I think his 30 are the most by any visiting player there, and he just kills Jays pitching with the exception of Halladay.

So that's what they're calling the stadium in Texas these days, Ameriquest Park?
I thought it was just "The Ballpark in Arlington".....????!!!!
Like in the 2002 Dennis Quaid movie "The Rookie" about Jimmy Morris.....
Geesh.....I gotta get out more!?
See, that's the problem with all this corporate sponsorship crap!?
I know it's another revenue stream, but.......
What I'm a feared of, is what they will be calling the "new" Yankee Stadium?
CarQuest Yankee Stadium, or the Goody's Powder Yankee Stadium would be sacrilege!
MLB and the NFL are turning into NASCAR, with all their sponsors.
The Babe, Iron Horse, Mickey, Joe D, and the 'Ol Perfessor will be turning over in their graves?!
Maybe this is better for a seperate thread? Here, here.....

The day after his ML debut, at age 18, he got a single off of Boston's Sergio Valdez at Fenway on July 9, 1994.
He had two hits in that game, but the Sox won 4-3.
OK, I got a big trivia question about THAT game. What else was significant about it?
A big time record achievement was reached? Plz expalin.

your right about Sergio Valdez but your wrong about the game the red sox lost 7-4
on his major day debut the red sox won 4-3 and Red Sox shortstop John Valentin snares Marc Newfield's sixth inning line drive, steps on second retiring Mike Blowers and then tags the runner coming from first, Kevin Mitchell, to turn an unassisted triple play against the Mariners.

Sorry, I stand corrected. I misspoke. My little date recorder has an incorrect entry. My apologies.
His MLB debut was 7/8/94 in the game of Valentin's unnassisted triple play. A-Rod took an oh-for-3 collar.
But it was Keith Mitchell who was tagged out at first base, NOT Kevin.
Kevin was playing for Cincinnati in 1994.

Well, it's a piece of PC software and has dates for births, deaths, events, etc.
It's called NewDayPC. I've had it forever, and keep it updated with baseball
stuff (amongst other things), being the seamhead that I am?!

How many baseball events do you have in it?
Don't know. Some came with the software, and I've updated it every chance I get.
Significant events, like 4 HRs in a game, deaths of former players, 5-hit games,
unassisted triple plays, no-hitters, perfect games, etc.
If I find something interesting on a website or read about it in a paper or book, it usually goes in.
Just the real big stuff.

Don't know. Some came with the software, and I've updated it every chance I get.I just have a big file, and wrote a program to display today's events (used to do it when PCs ran DOS)

Same as me, although if I started doing deaths, 5-hit games (there's enough 6 and 7 hit games), all no-hitters (I have most, especially if there was something else interesting), my files would be even bigger.

I don't!! I hope they get EXACTLY what they paid for.....an unproven youngster.
(unproven at the Major League level--which is ALL that counts)
How can you call yourself a Yankee fan, and wish well to Boston?
That's a contradiction in terms, no?
= = = = = = = = = = = = =
ATTN: Boston fans…Please stand clear…don’t want to get ANY Red Sox “JUICE” on my Pinstripes?!?!

I wouldn't actually call it HATE.....but it started at a young age.
Father was a Yankee fan, he raised another 2 Yankee fans (and my sister),
and I raised a Yankee fan (son), and my niece and nephew too.
I could go on how my dad took my mom to Yankee games while dating her,
along with his buddies, just to teach her the game of baseball.
But I wouldn't want to bore you. Lots of family history with the Bronx team.
Unfortunately, I was born in the wrong year.....the ONLY time the Brooklyn
Dodgers won a world series......but I digress.
I've found more dislike on Boston fan's part, more so than Yankee fans.
Oh well.....come on OCTOBER!!!!!
