Goody's father was Jewish, but I don't believe his mother was. ...although I could be mistaken.

The correct answer was Goody Rosen. Stern is not Jewish, because his mother is not. It was in the local paper this morning, in the "Adam Stern Q&A" article.

Some Conservative Jewish Synagogues also accept you as truly Jewish if you have a Jewish father and a non-Jewish mother. Not all, but some.
