Since the Astros just lost Andy Pettite they might stuggle a little this year. And also an upset last year... I dont really like the astros becuase they took andy and roger... but now roger is just old... but andy still has some stuff in him. Anyway, do you think they are going to struggle or do good?? I say they come in 5th or 6th.;)

sadly i believe you're right. they don't have the rotation to win, even in the central. i also think they should have fired phil garner. i know he has led two great turnarounds and coached the team to its first NL championship, but he is managing a team he doesn't have. He keeps playing for the long-ball and doesn't utilize the speed he had. i mean, burke should have had about 25 steals, evveret should have been pushing 30, hell, lamb has some speed and bruntlett can run well. they should have used this speed to open up holes in the field to get more base hits via the hit and run.

I say they come in 5th or 6th.;)I'll take that bet.

Picking them third in the division, just as I have the last three years.

As for Houston stealing Clemens and Pettitte from the Yankees, sorry about that. I realize that New York never signs free agents away from other teams, but not every team can build a team entirely from within its organization like the Pinstripers ;)

Nicely played. (Also, I thought the Yankees gave up on Pettitte.)

Umm, as for the first post, you would rather have Andy than Roger? Have you looked at their stats over the past 3 years? Maybe Roger costs a lot more, but he brings in that much in additional revenue.

Despite my bias, I still wouldn't put the 'Stros below 3rd in the division.

Picking them below the Pirates is pretty ridiculous IMO.

I'll pick it something like this...

Cards
Cubs
Milwaukee/Astros
Reds
Pirates.

I think they'll have a battle on their hands for 3rd place.
