I hate to do this, but I can no longer be the GM of the Cubs. Due to personal problems that I'd rather not discuss, I will not be able to provide the attention required to manage a team in this game. Hopefully, I can find someone to replace me soon. I'm sorry. I'd love to continue, but I simply won't be able to.

Like, since Otis had been here for a long time he would have a good "parking spot". Because he's a vet.

I guess I also have to quit because I have no idea what is going on right now and I have no clue what my teams looks like. I would have liked to remain a GM but I was away for a while and alot happened.....

There isn't any "chilling" to be done when 2 people resign within the same fantasy league..

Does every team have an active roster? Does YL have it? If so, we need to send each GM a notice that we are now signing FA's, along with their roster. We can't have any more GM's quitting.

JordanDL3891
02-11-2007, 05:39 PM
well guess what, the rosters are NOT complete because we decided to hurry it up and go right to FA signing so people would stop complaining.

do you want to restart FA signing to give everyone a chance?

(I know I wont get oswalt then, because the giants are gonna go crazy and give 24 mil a year, but it's only fair)

We had what, 7 gms bid for players out of the 20 something gms there are? If we redo the FA->more gms come back=more people playing.

Erik Bedard

Only five or so made any serious bids.

JordanDL3891
02-11-2007, 07:18 PM
and how many more big name players are out there?

Edmonds is gone
Oswalt is gone
Schmidt is gone

Erik Bedard

Keith Foulke is still available.... and rumor has it that the Brewers might offer a whole bunch of contracts really, really soon.

Is this possble to do? If so, I say we restart, and let every GM know that we are starting. Give everyone time to get their roster together, and then start on FA's again. Over half the GM's havent even offered anyone anything. I think we need to re-organize.

Not to be mean but they had all offseason to do that. I say we keep it the way it is. I'm no different than anyone else and if I'm prepared then everyone else should be prepared.

But were all the GM's notified that we were starting to sign FA's? If not, I think that there'll be alot more teams quitting.

Erik Bedard
02-12-2007, 05:35 AM
New York (Yankees), Oakland, Detroit, Tampa Bay, Philadelphia, Texas, and any computer-controlled teams have not made an offer. There may be more, just going off the top of my head.

Yeh they've been notified if they checked the forum in the last month or two.

Yes but I was not given my roster. How can I bid for FAs if I don't know what holes I have on my team?

If theres a thread with your roster in it then all you have to do is make necessary changes to it and you have your roster. We can only give rosters to the 10 new teams.

I could not find a thread with the roster in it. It's too late. You guys have gone ahead on the with the FA signings. I'm out, sorry guys.

My heart is just not into playing anymore and then when summer comes I will be gone for more than a month combined witha ll the trips Im taking. I really wish I wanted to play, but I don't. I hate to do this to you guys. Good luck recovering from all the leaving! Remember, have lots of fun!
