I think it was Dave Winfield. Wasn't he drafted by four different sports leagues?

I think it's Kenny Lofton. He ran the point for Arizona during the late 80s and he led them to the Final Four in 1988. He is one of only two people to go the the NCAA Final Four and the MLB World Series, the other is Tim Stoddard.

Being that the person who asked the question has already replied with the answer-- Tony Gwynn. I don't think continue guesses were needed.

I WAS scratching my head a while.. .Gwynn was drafted by the San Diego Padres and the San Diego Clippers..What Hall of Famer's son got his first hit, a double just like dad, 24 years later on the same month and same date of the month?

I was at the game last year when he got it. I knew he'd come up a couple days before and couldn't figure out why there was all the hubbub and stopping of the game after the hit. It didn't occur to me until they made the announcement that he'd not gotten a hit yet. Kid's got a nice swing; he'll get a lot more.
