MVP
1. Willie Mays - GG centerfielder, Great power, led leauge in HR's (50), with a 12 HR lead over 3rd place, top 10 in SB's, led in SB%, 2nd in Runs and RBI, all around, not to shabby.
2. Callison - 2nd in hits, T-3rd in HR's, RBI title, 2nd in RC
3. Mantle - 1st in RC, 1st in OBP
4. Allison
5. Yaz
6. Allen
7. Santo
8. Aaron
9. Robinson
10. Pinson (7th in HR's, 9th in XBH, 8th in TB - he was one of the main reasons my team stayed in it for so long, he at least deserves a vote)

CY
1. Horlen
2. Drysdale
3. Peters

ROY
1. Allen
2. Carty
3. Cloninger

MVP
1. Allison - honestly don't feel this is a homer pick
2. Allen - incredible year, runaway ROY
3. Callison - glad he's out of Philadelphia
4. Mays - looks like I'm in the minority
5. Torre - kudos to Mark for recognition
6. Santo - huge season for 3Bmen
7. Carty - won batting title by a mile; 3rd in OPS
8. Yaz - not his best year
9. Mantle - went over the limit; counting stats penalized
10. Ward - another 3Bman gets my homer vote to appear on the list

CYA
1. Horlen - 2nd best in about everything, best record, winningest team
2. Drysdale - understandable choice for #1
3. Chance - homer vote? 23 wins, 3rd best overall in RC-ERA, 4th in CompERA

ROY
1. Allen - again, runaway winner
2. Carty - another top 10 MVP candidate
3. Cloninger - couldn't find room for Oliva; great rookie class

--Drysdale looked like a slam dunk for the CYA to me after his strong finish, while Horlen skipped his last couple starts. They are tied with 3 first and 3 second place votes each with half the ballots in though. Already 19 different players with MVP votes - and that is with no pitchers on any ballots. There are several pitchers who you could easily justify votes for.

MVP Award

Willie Mays (by a hair over Allison; I think Mays had less help doing what he did)
Bob Allison
Dick Allen (not bad for a rookie!)
Johnny Callison
Ron Santo (Perhaps putting him this high could be considered a homer vote, but he had the numbers)
Mickey Mantle
Felix Mantilla (great production from this middle infielder)
Rico Carty (another fine rookie; helped keep the Gamblers in the race)
Tony Oliva
Harmon Killebrew

Cy Young Award

Don Drysdale (easy choice)
Joe Horlen (An easy choice if Drysdale didn't have such a fine season; best pitcher on a tremendous staff)
Jim O'Toole (with apologies to Broglio, the Gamblers wouldn't have been in the hunt without the 243+ excellent innings O'Toole provided)

Rookie of the Year

Dick Allen (a no brainer; will likely also receive much MVP support. I think Mac would've had a much harder time repeating without this kid).
Rico Carty
Tony Oliva

(Many excellent rookies this season. Hated to leave out my own Bill Freehan as well as Jim Hart from the Diablos and Tony Cloninger from the Gold Sox)

MVP
1.Willie Mays (class of the league, carried the Knights on both offense and defense)
2.Joe Torre (I think he has been a bit overlooked... hit .332/.373/.511 while throwing out almost half of all runners trying to steal and committing just one error at catcher. IMO he is the Skipjack MVP by a hair over Allison)
3.Bob Allison
4.Johnny Callison (RBI learder carried the surprising Gold Sox offense... benifited from hitter's park)
5.Dick Allen (huge bat at 3B... produced in a tough park, but 45 errors keep me from pitching him for a top 3 spot)
6.Ron Santo (as good as Allen, but could not rescue the future-oriented Legends)
7.Mickey Mantle
8.Carl Yastrzemski (Where did that come from? ...'64 was not one of Yaz's better real life seasons)
9.Rico Carty
10.Felix Mantilla by a nose over teamates Oliva, Ward and Powell (What a team! Mantilla only played in 126 games, but carried a very big stick (.322/.376/.572), while playing good D at SS and 2B.)

CYA
1.Don Drysdale
2.Joe Horlen
3.Dean Chance (23 wins, 262 IP, great component stats)

RYA
1.Dick Allen
2.Rico Carty
3.Tony Cloninger

--Voting closes at midnight EST tonight with the commencement of the playoffs. Three owners yet to vote and the CYA remains very hotly contested. Willie Mays and Dick Allen look pretty secure in the MVP and ROY voting, respectively.
