Hey whats up my name is Danny I'm a Freshman here in Phoenix Arizona and I will write about the team and everything going on with our Baseball team. Tryouts are next week (2/5/07-2/9/07) funny thing is on Monday thats my B-Day. So next week we will see if I make the Junior Varsity team or Freshman team. (Ill at least make Freshman) Its gonna be very hard to make Varsity because they have 13 returning players. Anyway I hope to post here every week or two. Have a nice day. :)

Hey Danny, I'm sort of in the same boat as you, a Freshman whos shooting for JV but would be happy on Freshman. Your lucky you guys down there in AZ get to have tryouts so early, up here in the North East there not 'till late March, and their still usually indoors:(.

Please tell us more about your baseball skills. Which positions do you play? Which spots is your potential coach looking for?

Damn, I'm a freshman too! I've been caught up in football and hockey, so I haven't been going to any workout sessions, or any of that kind of stuff. I'll still try out, but they'll probably cut me anyway.

What other sports can guys play at your high school in the spring? Here in NY, lacrosse is popular and we also have tennis and track. Golf was moved to the fall.

I'm in eighth-grade, and my baseball team will start practice soon. We usually do indoor until Marchish and then we can usually go out on the field. Right now, I've been wrapped up in basketball and haven't had a chance to get out and play baseball much, though the basketball has kept me in shape.

The Spring Sports we have here in Arizona are Tennis,Track,and Softball. Golf for us is also in the Fall. Difference is that we dont have Lacrosse in Arizona.

That must make it more competitive to make your baseball team. My son is a 10th grader and hopefully will make JV's again. Lacrosse takes at least half of the good baseball players per grade. Our 9th grade best athletes all switched to lacrosse except for one.

Monday is the first official practice for the team. I was the only Freshman to make JV. So I made my goal of making JV as a Freshman. I can't wait for the first game (3-1-07) hopfully this will be a fun season for us. I'm guessing I will be battling the starting job at 2B with this Junior, but another possibilty is just moving him or me to Shortstop. So It's going to be a fun couple of weeks hopfully everything will go ok. (knock on wood.)

Wow, that's pretty impressive. Freshman maybe starting on JV.

The JV team's first game was on the first of March and we won 9-1. :gt :clapping. So that's great and I went started the game at 2nd Base and I went 1-3 with a single and a walk. On the field I had 2 total chances and I got 1 Assist and 1 put out and had no errors. So It was a good game overall and our next game is (3-6).

Hey Danny, I'm a freshman too (but turned 16 in January) and we are in the sessions of tryouts right now. I'm trying out for JV this year and Varsity for next year.

Hey guys there has been a lot of things going on so I couldn't write to you guys sooner. Anyway, our team still hasn't loss a game yet. We have played four games since my last post so were 6-0 I have started all 6 games. My Stats thus far in the JV Season.

AB- 26 Hits-12 Avg. 461 RBI-4 SB-5 BB-7 Errors-0 TC-16

Our next game is the 27th so hopfully we win.:gt
