My uncle took my 11 year old sister and myself there last year. Oh my god. It's amazing. There's alot of baseball, so much free stuff..plus if you keep an eye out for the crowds you can get some autographs. I got Orel Hershiser on a LLWS baseball and a little free cardboard (w. wooden tounge depresser stick) from REMAX..gosh I love free stuff. And let me tell you, Orel is a real nice guy. My uncle took a bunch of pictures (hes a really good photographer), I'll have to get them off of the disc he gave us and upload some to photobucket and share.

My family went about five years ago. The Museum has a lot of LLWS history in it. The basement has a booth where the kids can see how fast they throw, and another one that times their speed from 1B to 2B at the 60-foot LL distance. My son was thrilled that his time was fast enough at his age to be listed on the Leader's Board.

$5 will get you into the two ballparks plus pay for all the food you want to eat. Every seat is as good as a ML Box Seat, and you never know who might sit next to you. Every team's families and supporters root their hearts out. You can get autographs of the players, coaches, and ML players too. There is a lot of free stuff given out.

You walk past the LLWS teams while they are swimming or practicing as they stay near the stadium. It's fun to observe their practices and see how their Manager gets them prepared for the games. My son was disappointed his All Star team never got to go to the LLWS.

My son and I went every year from his age nine to twelve. We would go at least two different days each year. It's 2 1/2 hours away driving 75mph. Once he was 13U and on the big field we lost interest. The LLWS is a lot of fun. It's the Disneyland of baseball.

I always talked to coaches, parents and LL officials to get different perspectives. One year we knew one of the team's players and parents. That was another interesting perspective. My son walked up to the Curacao DA, asked where he could by a Curacao hat. The guy gave him a flag, took his name and address and sent him a bunch of Curacao souvenirs.
