I have caught a tremendous amount of flak for my analysis of Mark Prior's mechanics because it's based on a large number of still frames. Well, I have just completed an analysis of Mark Prior's mechanics based on this clip...

This analysis reinforces everything that I have said in the past, and even points out a few things that I didn't notice back then...
- Frame By Frame Analysis - Mark Prior (http://www.chrisoleary.com/projects/Baseball/Pitching/ProfessionalPitcherAnalyses/Documents/FrameByFrameAnalysis_MarkPrior.pdf)
I can say, quite unequivocally and notwhithstanding what Tom House said back in 2003, that Mark Prior does NOT have perfect mechanics.
Instead, I think Mark Prior has very poor mechanics and those mechanics have directly contributed to his string of injury problems.
