Describe or critique? The comedian in me wants to say, "He swung hard and hit the cr@p out of the ball." But I am sure that's not what you want...

A little bit of an over swing due to the nature of the event. The balls are not being tosssed at game speed so it allows the batters to do things they normally would not. That being said...

Good rotation and weight transfer. He actually came off his back foot. great hip rotation. Hard to see his actual spinal perpendicularity with the camera angle, but I would suspect it's pretty close. Seemed to maintain the box well.

I think we can learn a great deal from watching Frank thomas swing, but your point is well taken.
