On Tuesday, September 30, 1947, Berle's half-hour radio show for NBC, sponsored by Philip Morris Cigarettes, featured "A Salute to Brooklyn."

"Where to take the family for a special outing? Why, to Ebbets Field to watch the Dodgers play, of course!"
According to an article by Rob Neyer that I saw, Berle apparently wanted to buy a piece of the Dodgers when they moved west, but settled for eight season tickets.
