Astros get three names on the dotted line ahead of arbitration - - Brad Lidge, Dan Wheeler and Mike Lamb.
Can't say I'm too thrilled with Lidge getting more than Wheeler and Lamb combined. Pressure's on Brad now to return to form. Goes without saying that if he pitches more like 2005 instead of 2006, that's going to make a huge difference in the final win tally this year for the Astros.
Leaves Morgan Ensberg, Adam Everett and Jason Lane still to go. According to The Chronicle, Houston's leading misinformation source, here are the figures the players and club swapped:
Player. . Player Wants . . Astros Offer
Ensberg . $4.9 million . .$4 million
Everett . $3.4 million . .$2.5 million
Lane. . . $1.375 million .$900,000
Still a lot of trade rumors floating about, and Ensberg's name is popping up in many of them.
