I am in overload :crazy
I do not know who to write to first. I think my son and I will just go through some late 90's cards that he knows and send some and then pick some card random from my 78-80 collections............:D
Might even join SportsCollectors.net this weekend. We'll see.

Send out Sparky Anderson....HOF'er who signs free. In your group of cards there has to be some.
Feel free to look at my list for the 90's guys and send off too.
Good luck

Bryan-It can be very overwhelming. You may want to consider sending to players from your son's, or your, favorite team. That may be a good place to start. Or you can take a look through the 2006 TTM thread or the 2007 TTM tread to get an idea of some players to send to so that you, I mean, your son can have a few successes up front. If you need any assistance please let me know. Good luck.

I envy you right now, Bryan. What a wonderful thing for you and your son to do together.

Welcome to the hobby...what a great activity for father and son to do together.
I'd start with picking a few players that you and your son would enjoy getting signatures of, and asking on this board if they are known signers. Asking here (or sending to players others report successes with) will greatly increase your success rate, bang-for-the-buck, and fun.
As you'll soon find out...it's a real blast to find one of your SASEs in the mailbox, not knowing what it holds, and ripping it open to find out.

Also, I definately recommend becoming a member at sportscollecters.net. I just became a member about two weeks ago, and it has definately helped. You can search the player you want, see there success rate, you can look at there stats and determine their signing habits. Like maybe they used to sign a ton, but stopped 4 months ago, it might be a better idea to watch them for a while and see if they start signing again. Its 15 bucks, and its worth every penny.

Yeah, they dont have as many as Harvey, but the addresses on the site are posted by people who have success, and then confirmed by everyone else who has the same success. Like if you search for a player, and see 100 successes coming from 123 1st street, you know its legit.

I totally agree on sportscollectors.net. IMO, the other than your baseball cards, supplies and HM's 2007 list, a subscription to sportscollectors.net is a must. I have been a member there since it was a free site 6 years ago.
