hi everyone,can someone please advise me as to how much this card is worth.i have an original babe ruth rookie card still in the plaque it was bought in decades ago still with the original plastic around it,unopened,super mint condition,like new.the card has guyana written on it in the top left corner and 160$ written in the top right corner.

Apparently, its part of a set of stamps that the country of Guyana issued to honor the babe on his 100th birthday, in 1994...

thanks for your help.but this card is much older than 94 it was bought over 40yrs ago by my grandfather i think.i have seen some newer guyana cards with the 350$ symbol on it but have not seen any with the 160$ symbol.

I hate to inform you of this, but Guyana wasn't a country 40 years ago. It wasn't even called "Guyana" until 1970. Before that, it was called "British Guiana," and would have used postage stamps with the image of the ruling monarch of Great Britain (my Dad's a huge stamp collector).

I'm curious, what makes you call it a "rookie card"? Especially if it has "the original plastic around it". No cards from the 1910s or 1920s came in plastic.

And like I said, forty years ago in 1967, Guyana didn't exist. It was British Guiana (one of the "three Guianas" along with Dutch Guiana [now Suriname] and French Guiana [still run by the French Overseas Department]).
