...or for the O's for that matter. If he shows any flashes of how good he was when we was a Brave a long, long time ago then the Rockies will have a short term asset on their hands. Coors Field might help his numbers out, too.

Me to. The Rockies already have Torrealba and the rookie Chris Ianetta.

If Ianetta doesn't produce at the start of the season I see the Rockies sending him down to the Sky Sox. Unless ol' Dealing Dan has something up his sleeve for Torrealba or Lopez.

If this signing happened 2 to 3 years ago It would have been a great pick up for the Rockies... But being 2007 and well past Javy's prime this signing isn't nearly as exciting.

That's the story for the Rockies. If their price is high the Monforts won't ever open up the wallet. The Rockies signings this off season is still under 7mil.
