Check out your used sporting goods store, often high school players sell bats that might still be in good condition. I recently picked up a not so used '04 connexion for 70. Whatever you buy, make sure that you can take it to the cages and test, then decide whether you like it. After all, bats are very personal equipment.

I prefer connexion, but if you wan't one piece i'd go stealth, exogrid, or for cheaper omaha dynasty..

My son likes the TPX Laser. Has held up very well and priced right. Bought last years model for $75 brand new.

I just got the new Easton Stealth Comp, 33 30 and I love it. It has great pop and seems a lot more powerful that any bat I've ever used. If you got the money for it, I would recomend it. $380.

WOW! $380 for a bat!! I hope you get lots of great hits with it.
Is it really neccessary to spend that much on a bat? I know a TPX Laser is not the top of the line but it seems to be a pretty good bat. How about the TPX Omaha? Lots of kids use that bat. I think you can get them on sale for under $200...still not as good as the $380 Stealth?? Anyway, good luck with your Stealth.
Most of the top end aluminum bats such as the Omaha are still great bats. Unfortunately they are being replaced with the composite and hybrid bats. Personally, I would save your money and get a good top end aluminum bat.

The best bat for someone else may not be the best bat for you. Some are more balanced. Some are end weighted. You need to find a bat you're comfortable. Try friend's bats. Try swinging bats in a store.

Yeah its pretty steep for a bat. Luckily my team is sponsored by Easton so we get hooked up. I can vouch for for Stealth Comp also. While the sound of the ball hitting the bat is different from other metal bats, the pop that the bat has makes it worth the price. Over the course of a 60+ game season last year plus practices, the bats still maintained their pop. The other popular bat that our players use is the Easton Stealth Stiff flex. Its a little bit cheaper if you can't go high end.

Anderson PXS - cost was around $250
They're end-loaded and hit well - everyone loves the sound too.
It's more like the crack of a wood bat - none of that stupid ping noise

I have a $20 Worth and it works fine :) I should have bought a more expensive bat, but remember, while a bat with a huge price tag (like an exo, etc.) is better than a dirt cheap bat, it still comes down to how good the batter himself is.

This is a good review site from people who have used the various types of bats.

I have used the DeMarini Vexxum and i love it, very balance, great sound, and for $200 its not too bad for a top end bat, exos are a good bat too, but i saw one break yesterday, so they aren't the strongest bat available, you can also get the omaha or dynasty for a little bit less and still get great pop out of them

just use other peoples 400 dollar bats haha
but if you really want one, my easton stealth is very good, its a great series all around. the DeMarini Vexxums are a popular one too. I really think expensive bats help, especially the two parted ones, which is becoming a norm

i got a liquid metal 2 for my birthday. personally, i love it. i use to use a demarini nitro. it was an okay bat, but at the time i was poor. i really like the liquid metal 2. it makes a nice sound and the contact feels nice. but if you hit it off the end, itll sting a lot.

anything redline would be my choice. when i used to play with tin all the coach would buy was redline and know one ever questioned why.

I like the Nike bats they were used a lot in the college world series so they are obviously good. I love it i've had it for a year and still has good pop. Im getting the new Nike Fuse bat its 2 peice but it looks pretty good.
