From Minor League deals to 3 million max; and here are the offers:

to: Tony Armas Jr. (I thought they would not bring him back?)
Steve Trachsel (I'd take him)
Jorge Sosa (If he pitches like he did in Atlanta in 2005...killer!)
Jerome Williams (ewww, strictly as a long reliver/cleanup)
Ramon Ortiz (Positive attitude makes me say yes)

So:

Patterson
Trachsel
Sosa
Ortiz
Armas

Not bad at all, hopefully we'll sign 'em all :D

Armas still has some upside if someone can get inside his head and teach him to pitch. I'd bring him and Ortiz back if the price is right. Everyone is writing off the season anyway, so why rush the top prospects up if they aren't ready? If they can sign some of these guys to one year contracts it'll give the youngsters another year (or at least part of one) to season in Columbus, or wherever.

I think of it this way. If we sign anybody off that list, and they perform well in an otherwise bad year for the team, we can either trade them this summer for prospects, or let them go and get draft picks back. But it cant hurt to consider them.
