From my self-published baseball trivia book Big League Trivia.........
The 2004 New York Yankees are the only team to win 100 games without a 15-game winner on their pitching staff. The Yanks won 101 games and were led by Javier Vazquez and Jon Lieber (14 wins each), Mike Mussina (12) and Kevin Brown (10). Three other teams won 100 or more games with no pitcher getting more than 15 victories. The 1941 Yankees won 101 games with Lefty Gomez and Red Ruffing tying for a team-high 15 wins. In 1975 the Cincinnati Reds won 108 games with three pitchers – Gary Nolan, Jack Billingham, and Don Gullett – winning a team-high 15 games. The next season Cincinnati won 102 games and had seven pitchers record double-digit win totals, but only Gary Nolan reached the 15-win mark.

I was watching Game 1 of the 2004 ALCS late last night and it was mentioned by McCarver.
