Hello out there. I just discovered this website tonight and wanted to see if anyone else out there was collecting the hof postcard plaques. I have been collecting the signed and unsigned versions of the postcards from the earliest sepia postcards in 1939 to the present. I have 44 different b&w hof plaque cards signed including 35 different players and I have all 142 different gold hof plaques signed. I still need 2 Mike Roberts postcards signed to have the master set. I am having trouble finding Red Ruffing and Joe Cronin in this particular type. I am still searching for many of the unsigned albertype and artvue non-player cards and a few albertype type 1 player postcards, as well as 4 dexter press cards and 3 of the curteichcolor gold hof plaque cards. I have many duplicates of these so if anyone out there collects these as well please let me know. I collect signed baseballs and other autographed items, but this is really my area of concentration and ebay has only proven to be mildly effective in lessening my wantlist. Happy Collecting!!!

All I have is one, the standard issue gold-colored plaque card issued by the HOF. It's Hank Greenberg, and I got it by total chance. A retired neighbor of ours likes going to used bookstores and book sales, and knowing I like sports books, got me an older elias baseball book, one of the big ones. Inside the book was the HOF card as well as a signed Greenberg 3 by 5 card.
This site has at least two members who are big Red Ruffing fans.

Thanks. Hopefully they will be able to help. I have been at this for a few years now and when you get so close to completing a collection it seems like it is taking forever. I know they will eventually show up but it doesn't hurt to check around with fellow collectors who might be interested in the same items as myself. Thanks again!!!

The member who named himself after Ruffing pops up when Ruffing is mentioned, so it's a possibility.
Good luck. Very cool thing to collect.
