Happy New Year to everybody out there. This only brings us closer to a new baseball season!

Stay safe, be good, get home just fine, and please, no drinking and driving. We'll all be appreciative if everyone here gets there safely.

Enjoy the night! :D

Cabs, buses, trains, designated drivers work wonders. I just wish I'd posted this earlier before people went out to party.

Happy new year. I fell asleep at 11:45 last night. I couldn't decide whether to go to bed or stay awake. Eventually my body decided for me.

Happy New Year. BTW nice avatar.
Dutifully swiped from an unsuspecting forumer on another board, as usual! :D Hey, my lack of originality precedes me. :p

Anyway, any excuse for a Bill Gallo 'toon is always good enough for me:

I wish everyone a happy new year, but the year doesn't begin until April 1st-2nd, when baseball officially starts. Spring Training? Nope, wait until April, when every game counts. The only day I cannot wait until April 15. 60 years ago that day, Jackie Roosevelt Robinson played his first game.

Then a sad day happens on June 22, when Darryl Kile five years ago passed away. Many Cardinals, Rockies and Astros fans grieved, along with other MLB players. I still miss him...

I too wish everyone here a happy and healthy 2007.

...but the year doesn't begin until April 1st-2nd, when baseball officially starts.

Interestingly, April 1 was once considered New Year's Day. When the calendar changed, those who still celebrated the new year on that day were considered "fools."

...My historical minute on the origination of April Fool's Day.

Cabs, buses, trains, designated drivers work wonders.

Thank you, Mattingly. Doing my job this past weekend was not easy, but frankly, I'm glad they were in my car instead of theirs.
