2B: Ron Hunt, Felix Mantilla
3B: Ron Santo, Dick Allen, Brooks Robinson
SS: Dick Howser, Luis Aparicio
LF: Carl Yastrzemski, Harmon Killebrew*

RP: Bob Lee, Don Larsen, Al Worthington, Bill Henry
*Harmon Killebrew has actually played 3B all season, but I voted him at his real life position rather than leave the league HR/RBI leader off my ballot. There are 7 solid candidates at third, easily the deepest position this season, and Killer wasn't going to make it there for me. Leftfield is easily the worst position so far this season.

--We had 2 unanimous selections, Hank Aaron in RF and Joe Horlen as SP (#1 on all ballots). Bob Allison was the next leading vote getter with 9 first team and one second team vote on the 10 ballots cast. There was a pretty strong consensus amoung the position players, with nobody getting much support and not making the team. The back end of the pitching staff was a little closer with Gaylord Perry edging Wally Bunker by one point for the 8th starting pitcher slot and Don Larsen claiming the last relief spot by one point over Jim Brewer.

How about 6 All-stars from a team barley over .500. ;)

Congrats to the Skipjacks. Sorry I didn't get a ballot in. It wouldn't have made much difference except that I might have gotten Bunker onto the team. Only two from the Hard Cider. I guess that means we've got pretty good team balance this year.

--The Knights only placed 3 on the team this year, with no starters (and the 3rd, Don Larsen made it with the fewest points of anyone elected). Quite a come down after having a host of Knights on the squad the past 3 years. It could easily have just been Gary Peters though. Not alot of dominanting perforcements by my boys so far.

I've got three in. I only really expected one, so this is great.

And I have my usual lone selection!:p
Thanks guys :D
Puts more pressure on the team through the playoffs though. Just gonna hope things work out down the road.
You can add two more names to your multiple ASG participants Mark: Yaz (2-LF) and Killebrew (1-1B, 1-3B)

And I've got.......NONE!!!
And yet I'm still in the chase, so I'm still happy! It just means my team is working together and playing team ball.

Kind of questioning how Horlen beat Drysdale when Drysdale leads in ERA, K's, IP, WHIP, OPSA, CG's, shutouts... oh, and I don't mean leads Horlen, but leads the entire league. Probably my fault for not getting a vote in in time.

Broglio's 2.39 ERA at the voting deadline was probably a fluke, but it was still tied for the league lead. Why so many people (including Whitey Ford and his ERA over 3) passed him, I don't know.
I would say W-L record had a lot to do with it after all.
Drysdale is still the frontrunner for the CYA though, IMHO.
