The brewers have made an offer to the current NLCS MVP Jeff Suppan. The length four years but with other more high profile teams in the hunt this may prove futile.

More on this as it pans out.

I honestly don't know what to say about this. Fact is, we have the money to spend on one guy, and if Suppan right now is the best we can get, I think it's an alright offer. However, I won't pass any judgement on this deal for the long run until after the season is over.

I'm a huge Suppan fan, and I think the Cardinals are making a BIG mistake in not making a competitive effort to keep him in the fold. Two out of the three teams that are very interested in Sup (including your Brew Crew) are NL Central teams. If he signs with the Crew or the Pirates, he could really haunt the Cardinals.:hp

This would be a great move for you Brew Crew dudes. I hope the Mets sign him myself. You take him out ofthe Cards mix last year and I guarantee you they would not have even been in the WS

In signing Suppan you are acquiring a league average pitcher with a so-so K rate for his age 32-35 seasons. League average with the league's best defense behind him.

Don't listen to the naysayers Brew Crew fans, if you get Suppan, he will anchor your staff and lead you to the promise land. I think his best days are ahead of him

The Brewers need another good arm in the rotation. But I don't think Suppan would accept the deal if he was declared NLCS MVP. The Cardinals will keep trying and trying to resign Suppan for 2007. Anyone agree?

According to mlb.com, Suppan and the Brewers have agreed on terms.
