He'll blow out his arm by age 35.

guys that age can have super arms but thats the biggest ive heard of. Some of thease kids end up hurting their arm before college because they rushed themselves to hard and didnt end up throwing the ball right.

He'll be lucky if he sees 30. It seems these prodigy pitchers rarely pan out and it's the realatively unknowns who go on to greatness. He will have an unforseen amount of pressure on him, if he doesn't already.

Wow, very impressive. But there is alot more to pitching than velocity.
I have a fourteen year old who can throw mid 80's at 54 feet, but his head is not where it needs to be. And, most great young arms are spent by the time their emotional maturity catches up to their physical maturity.
Still, 99mph is amazing.

35 and 30 is being very optimistic.
I see him needing to use the other arm to raise the glass on his first legal beer unless his mechanics are very, VERY sound.

Michael Main hit 94 as a senior not as a 15 year old. Check the article. It wasn't the clearest article in the world, so maybe he just read wrong.
Robert Stock from Agoura, CA hit 95 as a 15 year old though

He's obviously a major prospect. He has the size and throws major heat. The red flag is he's already having rotor cuff problems. I wonder if the rotor cuff issues have anything to do with pitching too much, too soon in kiddle travel ball (9U to 12U).

I didn't read the whole article, but I don't quite understand why people say he will blow out his arm just because he throws hard.. Maybe he's just stronger?

Felix Hernandez threw 94 at fourteen, I believe.

Some people just reach their full velocity earlier than others... I've seen guys throwing 99 mph, but are more throwers than pitchers. If he blows out his arm, it will be a shame that he got injured. But if he learns how to pitch with control, and has a good repetoire of pitches, he might just pan out to become a very good pitcher.

I think he threw in the late 80's when he was scouted at 14
